Elizabeth Bathory: The Blood Countess

Episode Summary

Elizabeth Bathory is known as the most prolific female murderer in history. She earned this title, along with many others, due to her incredible violence, torture and murders of hundreds of young women in the 1500's. Born into nobility in 1560, Elizabeth was raised during a time where women did not have as much power as men. Elizabeth did not fall into this category since she able to read, write and speak four languages. While being intelligent, she was also a sadist, who played out her cravings of blood with the murder of peasant girls and finally, to her downfall, noble girls. Please join us as we take a trip into history and discuss The Blood Countess of Hungary in all of her lore and gore.
